Chantelle is a certified Postpartum Doula with Childbirth International and a Diploma qualified Remedial Massage Therapist living in Brisbane’s Outer West. Her interests in the postpartum period include breastfeeding, baby wearing, baby-led cues, nourishing foods and women’s health. She has recently received her certification in Postnatal Massage via Pregnancy Massage Australia and has completed her baby wearing training with the Australian Babywearing Association .
Chantelle’s journey into motherhood was a fumbling whirlwind of shock, after vaginally birthing her undetected footling breech baby on Valentines Day in 2018. Being isolated with a screaming mandrake while her husband was at work left her feeling disconnected and completely inadequate to her new bundle. These experiences were the sparks to seeking out a different path and became the catalyst for her education. Her passion now lies in helping new mothers experience a postnatal period that is peaceful, connected and nurtured.
Chantelle enjoys cooking (when a toddler isn’t attached at the leg) getting out barefoot on the grass and stealing a moment to read books related to the fourth trimester. On a good night, you’ll find her tucked up watching Netflix while her queen sleeps.
